How stupid is this…
The world feels like it is slipping off its tracks because one greed filled, self obsessed fool keeps finding ways to drag everyone along for his downfall parade. Every time he opens his mouth another wall cracks somewhere, yet half the planet acts like this is just normal weather and we should all carry an umbrella.
The loudest believers are thirty million citizens who confuse resentment with wisdom and cheer while their country burns down the diplomatic house it once built. They think “strategy” means yelling louder than the facts. Meanwhile, the rest of us tiptoe around pretending we must stay polite while the arsonist hands out matches.
It is one of humanity’s finest ironies. We built a civilization with satellites, quantum computers and coffee that pours itself, but we still let the most insecure man alive push us toward chaos. The miracle is not that he exists. The miracle is that billions of supposedly smart people keep pretending this is okay. Maybe that is the real sign. Humans are idiots.

Scott, what we do know is that history repeats itself. Many people don’t read, study or understand history. Additionally, people reading history may now rewrite it for themselves and their own nefarious purposes. The stories we were told in primary and intermediary schools were partial truths. This is important because, we are at a moment in our lifetime where we can see the difference between subjective truth and objective truth. The person you may be referring to is not one person, they are a culmination of a group of people enabling this situation. Recently, we saw politicians telling military members to disregard unlawful orders. Remember in "A few good men” code red? The system is designed for this, and the system will support it as long as two conditions apply. The first is the people representing us that have common sense, actually do their jobs. I think this is unlikely but this is why they represent us. Meaning the situation will continue because the leadership is failing across the board. The second is pressure from the people. The people will not create pressure unless there is enough economic failure that disrupts the daily lives of the working and middle class. The middle lower and lower class don’t have enough skin in the game and they aren’t in a position to take up any meaningful action. What does this mean? History tells us that we will have a socioeconomic or social collapse which will reshape the nation and possibly the world. The US, China and Russia will cause great disruption and hopefully it won’t go the exact way of history. If it does… we won’t need to worry about the cares of the common person because there will be a new world which may not include us… Stupid? Yeah.. and .. where is the Lorax?
